Pyotr Aven who is publically calling himself ‘descendant’ of a ‘Latvian rifleman’ is boasting of killing Russian bears just for fun and continues to keep several business hunting sites in the south of Russia. Apart from that, we have found the quietest antiwar declaration from fugitive businessmen and traitors – the secret ‘Manifest of Aven’. His anti-Russian manifest is hidden on the Latvian version of a charitable foundation, and the link to that secret declaration the banker is sending as a proof of loyalty to European and Latvian bureaucrats trying to attain lifting of sanctions. However, all that complaining Pyotr Aven has achieved is constant humiliation.
‘DUCKS ISLAND’ OF THE RIFLEMAN AND PACIFIST POYTR AVEN
The billionaire Pyotr Aven who is besieged by sanctions, has been swearing for a long time that he had broken his ties with Russia - allegedly, he has sold assets, has left his posts and is pulling in nothing there now. Yet, only on August 27, 2027, the 100% of shares on the firm ‘Petrolizing’ in the town Rostov was transferred over to a local businesswoman. How much Pyotr Aven has earned from this project?
The company ‘Petrolizing’ has had no noticeable movements on its accounts in the last ten years, but at the yearend 2024, the firm, all of a sudden, received ‘other earnings’ to the amount of 150 million rubles, thus 9 million from this sum went to the Russian budget as income tax. This will definitely displease Latvian bureaucrats who don’t lose the hope to strip Pyotr Aven of Latvian citizenship.

This mentioned 150 million rubles is the proceeds of sales of 26% share in the sole affiliate firm of the company ‘Petrolizing’ – the PLL ‘Ducks Island’ (‘Утиный остров’ in Russia). This is a big hunting ground situated on the bank of the river Manych (an afflux of the river Don). The selling of the shares of the company ‘Petrolizing’ was sealed in October 2024, and, having come through an intermediator firm, the company “Ducks Island’ ultimately ended up, in July 2025, completely in the hands of another main shareholder of this hunting ground – in the hands of the well-known businessman Ivan Savvidi. Earlier, Suvvidi owned 74% of this project and was in conflict with Poytr Aven regarding management of the company ‘Ducks Island’.
According to the Rostov’s business portal “Gorod N’, here was in practice a barbaric ‘czar hunting’ for VIP-clients. “At this hunting area a VIP-business was organized which costed at least 1 million dollars a year. On the territory of the ‘Ducks Island’ in practice was a so-called czar hunting: a dump truck drove out laden with grain. Birds were attracted by this and were becoming an easy spoil’.
‘LATVIAN RIFLEMEN’
Pyotr Aven himself raises cautiously the subject concerning weapons, killings and war in dealing with the press. In his last interview to the Latvian media outlet NRA of September 16, 2025, Mr. Aven points out that his grandfather was a Latvian rifleman (during the October Revolution of 1917 in Russia – translator’s note), and Pyotr Aven himself, in 1990, unlike his father, supposedly, took a keen interest in question relating to independence of Latvia. He followed Latvia’s independence from the position of undersecretary of Foreign Minister and Minister of External Ecomonic Relations of the Russian Federation.
What does Pyotr Aven mean by using the notion ‘Latvian Riflemen’ nowadays is quite evident. As the journal ‘Zveda’ specifies in the article entitled ‘Latvian Riflemen’, in the 20th century, managed to serve as ‘Pretorian guard’ of the Bolsheviks, as castigators of Hitler’s fascists, and, at present, they are seen among mercenaries of Bandera followers in Ukraine.
In general, from his grandfather he has inherited propensity for shooting. That is why the banker chills out while shooting bears. In Russian, Pyotr Aven, officially, according to the Unified State Registry of Legal Entities (ЕГРЮЛ), remains still a co-owner of several hunting areas with the word ‘bear’ in their names – ‘The Bear’, ‘Three Bears’ - in Archangel and Vologda regions. It was reported that on loan of these companies there are hunting areas of more than 200 thousand hectares. The main line of business of these belonging to Pyotr Aven companies are ‘hunting, catching and culling of wild animals, and also providing services in these spheres’.

The shooting of wild animals produces a profit to Pyotr Aven, according to financial reports of these organizations: the total net income of the three ‘bear’ companies of 2024 amounted to nearly 24 million rubles.
Apart from that, together with other partners from the company ’Alfa Group’, namely Fridman and Kuzmichev, he has a building firm LLC ‘Beta-8’ that has been presenting reports to the Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation with nearly zero income.
A BILLIONAIRE FOR LATVIAN ‘MILKING’
In Latvia, the collaborationist Pyotr Aven is being kept alert and alive. In spite of all his repudiation of Russia and efforts to become one of theirs, the Latvian authorities, periodically, give Mr. Aven to understand that his position is rather shaky and that he should cooperate more closely with them. In general, they have been trying in all possible pervert ways to ‘milk’ him politically.
In Latvian press, periodically, are published articles hinting that Pyotr Aven used corruption during his efforts to receive Latvian citizenship and pass the language exam. In 2024, this time not in connection with corruption, he was threaten to lose his passport – simply for helping the Russian Federation’. For instance, he agreed to transfer 235 million euros to Latvia from previously non frozen monetary means in a certain post-Soviet Republic so that the money can be frozen in a Latvian bank. Pyort Aven’s house in Riga the authorities once were putting on sale for back taxes, once removing from the market. Overall, the brave Russian bear hunter Pyotr Aven has been for a long time on the hook, and this endless disgrace suits him well.
As to the main asset of Pyotr Aven, i.e. from the finance sphere, so, in the beginning of 2025, through the newspaper the Financial Times and Latvian media it was announced that Pyotr Aven and Mikhail Fridman allegedly had sold their shares in Alfa-Bank and ‘Alfa-Insurance’ to their partner Andrey Kosogov. At the same time, once again, ‘Aven informed the authorities of Latvia and Europe that he had neither direct, nor indirect ownership of shares of ‘Alfa-Bank’ or any other companies registered in the Russian Federation’. This is just another lie of the degraded defector refuted barely by extracts from the official Registry of The Federal Taxation Service (FNS) of the Russian Federation.
SECRET MANIFEST OF PYOTR AVEN’
What Pyotr Aven does additionally in order to realize his dream and to become one of theirs? What is he spending money on? They keep saying to him, by way of hints as well as directly, what he ought to do. To support Ukraine. Yet, without any guaranties, and we will see later. In one of the interviews with a Latvian media outlet, in reply to a question about the war between Russia and Ukraine, Pyotr Aven, carefully weaseling, said rather vaguely ‘My attitude has been expressed through my charitable foundation ‘Paaudze’ (Generation) with which one can get acquainted publically. I do not want to repeat the things that I have already said. If it’s really interesting for people – they are welcome, I have nothing to hide’.
By the way, in the title of the interview with Pyotr Aven they inserted his phrase: ‘Integration with the West will go faster when the last generation brought up in the Soviet Union will quit the stage. My generation’.
News reports on the website of this foundation – generation.lv – really have not emerged since 2020, but this relates only to the Russian language version of it. On the main page of the Latvian version of this website, there are pieces relating to the year 2023, but they do not touch Ukrainian question either. Although in archive materials on the website of this foundation one can find what Pyotr Aven means – this is his anti-war appeal. It is dated March 2022, but, perhaps, it was put there post factum, i.e. afterwards, in the second half of 2022 – to this date relates the first screenshot of the page in the web-archive archive.org.
In his manifest, Pyotr Aven says that he supports Ukraine with humanitarian goods: …’During all this time I and my partners provided maximum support to charity organizations dealing with humanitarian help to Ukrainian population’.
Yet, where there is ‘humanitarian’ help, there is also ‘military’ help – everybody knows that who dealt with collecting help for a fighting army.
In another piece of 2022 on the website of Pyotr Aven’s foundation, there are proofs that previously had emerged in mass media about a transfer of 150 million dollars made by Aven and Fridman by way of help to Ukraine:
‘The European Court has admitted to consideration the declarations of Pyotr Aven and his business partner Mikhail Fridman with regard to appeal against sanctions… (The are willing) to prove baselessness of sanctions, to reinstate their reputation and receive a possibility to provide a wider support to those who have suffered from the war in Ukraine, as well as to charitable activities started in Latvia with the purpose to strengthen Latvian medical and cultural space.
Entrepreneurs and philanthropists who just after the intrusion of the Russian army into Ukraine openly condemned the war and declared their readiness to give maximum support to charitable organizations that deal with providing humanitarian help to those suffered in the war in Ukraine, and, as of today, have already donated 150 million dollars. As soon as they become possibility to use the means now under sanctions, it is panned to increase considerably this support’.
Apart from that, Aven and Fridman provided humanitarian help to Ukraine’ through a foundation to support Jews ‘Genesis Philanthropy Group’. It is known of at least 10 million dollars.
Still, in the final analysis, Poytr Aven and Mikhail Fridman gained only a symbolic and fake victory in EU Court in April 2024, and they have been still on the sanctions list with their money being frozen. Sanctions caught Pyotr Aven in February 2022 in his London house, and at that time, he said that he didn’t plan to leave Britain because they would not let him come back. However, as of today, he swears to Latvian mass media trying to assure that he would spend the rest of his life in Latvia and adds, on the occasion, that he has already become member of a local hunting club.
As particularly miserable look the declarations of Pyotr Aven with regard to stopping the work of his foundation ‘Paaudze’ as well as hints that he is not capable to support Ukraine until sanctions are not lifted. Simultaneously, Aven and Fridman are demanding 1 billion dollars from Ukrainian authorities for the nationalization of the local affiliate of ‘Alfa-Bank’. This is all a mockery of blackmail and a never-ending hysterics.
Mikhail Fridman, obviously, had enough of mockeries in London with public discussions of his payments to a parlor-made, as well as of lashing out at him from the part of mass media caused by his visits to restaurants. From that time on, his ‘pacifist’ push has been languished, and Fridman’s sun has withdrawn from YouTube his renunciation of Russia.
In contrast to his partner, the former minister Pyotr Aven, aged 70, continues to grovel before the Balts – he already has lost something bigger than money. This is a typical way of a traitor who has become outcast both in his own country as well as in a foreign one.
