Criminal reports in Lithuania have been refilled with a new serious accident. On March 12, 2024, about 10.00 p.m. (local time), in the suburbs of the town Vilnius, somebody, using a hammer for meat, committed an act of violence against the Russian citizen Leonid Mikhailovich Volkov, born 1980, by beating him and damaging his car. First, the reports about the attack was confirmed by an official representative of Lithuanian police Ramunas Matonis. But in the morning of March 13, Saulius Tamulevicius, deputy police general commissar, said to the radio station ‘LRT”: ‘A pretrial investigation has been started now and we are doing everything possible in order to find out motives and reasons of this crime. Several versions have been put forward already. And when everything will be cleared up, we will be able to provide more information’, pointed out Mr. Tamulevicius speaking with journalists. He also said that specialist from ‘ARAS’ had come on the scene. (The area of competence of ARAS forces includes support of Lithuanian criminal police operations and anti-terror activities, including security guaranties of important persons and individuals enjoying international protection – note of the editorial board).
Having provided medical help to the patient Volkov, medical workers sent the victim to his home – for ‘ambulatory medical treatment’ of the broken arm. The victim himself explains this assault primitively simple: ‘this was an obvious ‘hello’ from the criminal world of St. Petersburg’.
Out of hate and in the thick of political struggle. Leonid Volkov, who received 15 hits on his leg made by the means of meat hammer, puts Lithuanian police, to his own detriment, on the wrong scent. In his case, other versions are more evident than the proverbial ‘Kremlin’s vengeance hand’.
VOLKOV-NEVZLIN’ SERPENTARIUM FULL OF ADDERS AND TOADS
First of all, it is worth taking into consideration the prolonged and rather deep conflict inside the Russian fugitive opposition with participation of followers of sponsors of Ukraine’s terrorist organizations which had lasted for the whole 2023 and then segued into the year 2024. In the center of the conflict is an extremely skeptical position of Leonid Volkov about terrorist methods of waging war against Russia by Nazi’s formations and traitors consisting of fugitive Russians.
Leonid Nevzlin, a sponsor of Nazis and radicals, was very angry and felt offended for domesticated Bandar-logs because he, obviously, considers them his own ‘combat wing’. The foreign agent Leonid Nevzlin, defending terrorist methods of going about things, expressed publically his distrust of the position of the foreign agent Leonid Volkov who inclined his followers to ‘peaceful forms of protest’. In response, Volkov, with a full sweep of his hand, accused ‘Putin’s senator Nevzlin’ (for Nevzlin this is an intentional offence) of attacks against structures of the ‘Anti-Corruption Foundation – FBK’** and started to turn aggressively Navalny’s followers against Leonid Nevzlin.
As a result, the conference of opposition that took place, for instance, in Brussels in June 2023, came up short of some representatives of FBK’s extremist nets that had been aggressively processed by Leonid Volkov who, literally, had flooded (quite deservedly) with dishwater Leonid Nevzlin and Garry Kasparov. On the whole, it was a typical example of a serpentarium full of adders and toads. Except for one detail which one should not forget.
THREATS FROM A MURDERER
In July 2023, Nevzlin, having nervously thrown up his hands, expressed downright direct threats at the address of his critics. He said in Russia ‘there is no civil society at all’, and gave to understand that for some the case might end not in the most constructive manner.
‘Fir the first time, I definitely tell those who are trying to offend or degrade me or my dear ones – my goodness doesn’t apply to you. I can fight with my enemies. Do not take it as a threat, but some of you, alas, are already on that list of foes. This is an admonition to all those who have not yet crossed the line of a normal discussion”. Said Nevzlin having given to understand what there would be a short talk with Navalny’s followers who instantly cross all the lines of reasonable discussion trying to spit right away in opponent.
After coming out in July of these threats, the website Prigovor.ru reminded to all those who, one way or other, are contacting with Nevzlin, that ‘on the list of his enemies there had been the mayor of the town Nefteyugansk Vladimir Petukhov (murdered), director of a shop Valentina Korneyeva (murdered), oil entrepreneur Yevgeny Rybin (two attempted murders, including blowing up of a motorcade). Guys, when Nevzlin threatens, he is talking seriously. He’s a murderer, guys. And his gloomy hints are not just figures of speech at all. He has behind him a life-long sentence for ordering and organizing a series of ‘Yukos’ murders’.
Leonid Volkov, by the way, didn’t heed the warnings and from sharp discussion he came over to direct attacks on Leonid Nevzlin. For instance, he directly accused Nevzlin and those connected with him of ‘leaking’ a data base about a secret ‘troll factory’ that for years had been washing brains of people and had been dealing with harassment against undesirable persons in social media. Then, of course, it was found out that the leadership of ‘Free Russia Foundation’ (USA)** stands behind it. But the names of those who initiated this ‘leak’ remained off-screen. So, these were peopled of the criminal Nevzlin?
Thus, an internal personal conflict between two Leonids – Leonid Volkov and Leonid Nevzlin – could easily degenerate into an effort to muzzle Volkov due to offences that were flying to the address not only of Nevzlin, but to all the radical group that Nevzlin has been ardently supporting, also with money.
So, the first version: the beating of Leonid Volkov could be easily ordered by Leonid Nevzlin.
ZOOLOGICAL RUSSOPHOBE AGAINST ‘GOOD RUSSIANS’
In autumn of 2023 the conflict between these cannibal-terrorists (Nevzlin-Ponomaryov) and peaceful supporter of Russia’s dismemberment (Volkov and others) passed into another phase. Inna Kurochkina, the connector of fugitive fighters and girlfriend of the traitor Ilya Ponomaryov*, grabbed, by that time, the Prague office of ‘Free Russia Foundation’ (USA)** having thrown out of it Natalia Arno, the liaison person of the State Department and Mikhail Khodorkovsky. And in the information space, with participation of radicals of all colors, a mass media war was organized during which sounded as a refrain such instruction: ‘good Russian is a dead Russian’. To the address of fugitive opposition members, including Navalny’s followers, rained down open threats, and mentioned was also intentions of destructing financial schemes created by them on the territory of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.
Among those discontent in Europe, pointed out the Investigation department of the channel RT, was standing out the citizen of Lithuania Valdas Bartkevicius, born 1988, an open Nazi and Russophobe, devotee of ‘Free Ichkeria’** and Nazi Ukraine. By that moment he already managed to assert himself by way of several political performances – in particular, he was the organizer of the action directed against the lecture of Viktor Shenderovich* during which the fugitive satirist was sprinkled with catchup. Apart from that, Bartkevicius came out against creation of the installation ‘Navalny’s Punitive Confinement’ and painted it with obscene phrases. It must be said that this Lithuanian Nazi got away with these two actions, to say nothing of that Nazi’s chow that he was spilling out in order to stoke hatred towards fugitive opposition members. Thereby Bartkevicius, actually, was actively preparing ground for future attacks against fugitive opposition members. The more so as on the territory of the European Union an international group of radicals has formed capable, out of hate or simply for hire, to take a hammer in hand and visit the same Volkov with a violent ‘hallo’.
Thus, the second version: the beating of Volkov could be organized and carried out by radical Russophobes from the group headed by Bartkevicius.
A quotation from the investigation of the website FLB.ru: ‘In order to make newcomer ‘good Russians’ to leave Lithuania, this frenzied Nazi and Russophobe, ‘true European’ Bartkevicius calls on ‘to carry out an investigation of financial schemes’ which ‘good Russians’, incidentally, fugitives Navalny’s followers and the joint of Mikhail Khodorkovsky have stirred up on the territory of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia’
STRUGGLE FOR FINANCIAL CONTROL
However, there are quite venal motives explaining why Leonid Volkov became a victim of violence. And these can be summarized like this – redistribution of financial flows after the unexpected death of Alexey Navalny whose right hand had been for years Leonid Volkov. For instance, a legally undeniable example of financial ties of Mikhail Khodorkovsky’s structures and structures of Alexey Navalny is an evidence of this.

As the website Prigovor.ru has found out, Mikhail Khodorkovsky and Navalny’s team were working together and making money together despite the fact that they publically were in conflict with each other. Khodorkovsky’s firm ‘Magna Futura, UAB’, in 2023, was the official owner of the on-line ‘Navalny.Shop’. The place of legal registration was Lithuania, Vilnius. It was found out that the mutual business of this company has stable cash proceeds.
Thus, in 2022, the company ‘Magna Futura, UAB’ earned income from selling to the amount of 169 428 euros. By standards of average NGOs, such a sum is comparable with an average European grant.
Third version: Perhaps, Volkov and representatives of Khodorkovsky fell aboard with each other, they didn’t agree on splitting revenues from sales of the on-line ‘Navalny.Shop’, sparred over control of the business? We would like to remind our readers that that this shop is registered in Lithuania where Leonid Volkov now lives. We would like also to remind that Mikhail Khodorkovsky is on a wanted list as defendant in the case of ‘Yukos’ contract murders.
The history of criminal and court cases in all countries knows hundreds and hundreds of stories where such motives were clues to solving crimes. And the investigation of the assault against Leonid Volkov should perhaps look at these aspects what ‘commentators’ of different kinds have been trying to hide behind the smokescreens of anti-Russia fits.
Long story short, Lithuanian police, in order to dig up to the roots of this gloomy story, will have, perhaps, to reshuffle not only the banal Russophobe bonkers in the press, but also to expose quite real circumstances of shadow vital activities of the whole radical pack.
